A small handleless cup with a soft waist and a flared rim, thrown from a dark, iron-rich stoneware. The bronze glaze lies thin over the throwing rings, so gold and pewter sit on the ridges and the darker clay shows through in the hollows; toward the foot the glaze thins to an almost bare, gritty band. The interior is bright metallic. The foot is unglazed dark clay, stamped with the maker's mark and the registry number C02.

Thrown by hand and fired to 1250 °C in oxidation. One of one, recorded in the registry.
