A straight-sided mug that narrows gently toward the foot, with a slender pulled handle. The bronze glaze breaks from bright pewter and gold on the rim and high points to deeper iron-brown where it pools, so every mug carries its own pattern of light and shadow. The interior is fully glazed and smooth. The foot is left as raw stoneware and carries the maker's mark.
Thrown by hand and fired to 1250 °C in oxidation. One of a run of three thrown and glazed together and photographed as a group; each is listed and sold on its own, and the glaze on each has moved in its own way.
