A cup thrown with the ridges of the throwing left in the wall, so the green crackle glaze rides light over each rib and pools darker between them. The colour moves from a bright lime at the rim to a deep bottle green low on the body. The crackle is fine and even across the whole surface. On one side there is a single small pale speck where the glaze opened in the kiln — part of this piece, not a flaw hidden from view. The foot is bare stoneware.

Thrown by hand and fired to 1250 °C in oxidation. One of one; the maker's mark is stamped on the foot.
